The Summer Cub Scout Activity will run for six weeks, June 29 through August 3, 2010. Classes will be held every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A different sports will be covered each Tuesday and scouts can earn belt loops and pins in the following achievement areas:
Flag Football
Kickball
Physical Fitness
Soccer
Softball
Swimming
The cost is $63 per scout for the entire six weeks. Parents do not have to stay for the duration of the activity. Drop-offs are allowed.
The six-week program will culminate in a cub scout festival on Saturday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cost is $15 per scout. You do not have to attend the six-week program to attend the festival.
There will be a round-robin of three sports for a half hour each to work on completing pin requirements for those who attended the Tuesday night classes. A half hour lunch break is included in the schedule and concessions will be available or families are encouraged to pack a lunch. From 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. that afternoon there will be an hour of open swimming at the NTC just for fun!
